Disney has now announced Mulanwill be Dear Utol (2025): Week 8 Highlights Episode 45available to stream on Disney+ from Dec. 4 at no extra cost. It's a far cry from the theatrical release many fans had been anticipating at the start of the year.
Plans to release Mulanin theatres were thoroughly thwarted by the coronavirus pandemic in March, with the highly anticipated live-action film delayed just weeks before its scheduled release. Disney announced several hopeful changes of date in the following months, but eventually scrapped Mulan's theatrical release in favour of a Sept. 4 premiere on streaming service Disney+.
However, to watch Mulan in September, viewers will have to pay $29.99 for Premier Access — an additional charge on top of their Disney+ subscription. It's arguably a bargain for a family, with adults having the added benefit of not needing to wrangle young children in a public space, but less of a deal for solo viewers.
