She called him "exasperating but respectful" of their working relationship, and emphasizes that she was unaware of his inappropriate behavior, and that "not everybody" knew, or the news would have come out sooner.
Ultimately, Streep said, this is an abuse of power that can only be combated by vocal rejection of this type of behavior. With Weinstein terminated from his company and more men in power facing consequences, there's hopefully a solidarity building in the entertainment industry.
So get it together, Hollywood. Cause Meryl freaking Streep told you to.
